【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversthetypesofjointsrequiredforplasticpipepressuresystemswithawallthicknessequaltoorgreaterthanthatofSDR64andintendedforuseinsupplyanddistributionlinesforwater,usingflexibleelastomericseals.Thisspecificationcoversthetestrequirements,testmethod,andmaterials.Thetestmethodsdescribedarenotintendedtoberoutinequalitycontroltests,butaretoevaluatetheperformancecharacteristicsofthejoint.1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.3Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainstothetestmethodportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
