【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC9314containstheabstracttestsuitefortheFibreDistributedDataInter-face(FDDI)tokenringMediaAccessControl(MAC)layerprotocol.ThistestsuitewasdevelopedbasedontheprinciplesdefinedinOSIConformanceTestingMethodologyandFramework(ISO/IEC9646)andwritteninTreeandTabularCombinedNotation(TTCN),andintendedfortestingconformancetotheMACstandard(ISO/IEC9314-2:1989)ofanyFDDIstations.Thetestmethodologyisthe"remotesinglelayertest"asdescribedinISO/IEC9646.TheabstracttestscriptsspecifytheMAClayerProtocolDataUnits(PDU)tobeexchangedbetweenthetwoMACentities,theMAConthetesterandtheMAContheImplementationUnderTest(IUT).ThetesteriscalledtheLowerTester(LT).Thetestsuitedoesnotrequireuseofanyhigherlayerprotocols,nordoesitassumeexistenceofLogicalLinkControl(LLC)layerimplementationontheIUT.Itexpects,however,thattheStationManagement(SMT)functionisavailableontheIUT.SinceMACitselfdoesnotoriginateanydataframes,thetesterusesSMTtotesttheprocessingcapabilityofMACbysendingframestoSMTandobservingtheSMToriginatedresponseframes.Thetestingisexpectedtobeconductedinacontrolledenvironmentwithaminimumconfiguration(figure1):atokenringwithtwostations,onebeingtheLTandtheothertheIUT.
