【摘要】:Ethanolisusedasablendingagentaddedtogasoline.Sulfatesareindicatedinfilterpluggingdepositsandfuelinjectordeposits.Whenfuelethanolisburned,sulfatesmaycontributetosulfuricacidemissions.Ethanolacceptabilityforusedependsonthesulfatecontent.Sulfatecontent,asmeasuredbythistestmethod,canbeusedasonemeasureofdeterminationoftheacceptabilityofethanolforautomotivespark-ignitionenginefueluse.1.1Thistestmethodcoversapotentiometrictitrationprocedurefordeterminingthetotalinorganicsulfatecontentofhydrous,anhydrousethanol,andanhydrousdenaturedethanol,whichisaddedasablendingagentwithsparkignitionfuels.Itisintendedfortheanalysisofdenaturedethanolsamplescontainingbetween1.0-20mg/kgtotalinorganicsulfate.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.
