【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdescribesexposureevaluationconceptsandtechniquesfortheoverallexposurelevelinspatialregionsandoccupantscausedbythesimultaneousexposuretomultiplenarrowbandelectromagnetic(EM)sources.ThroughoutthisTechnicalReport,itisassumedthattheexposureevaluationoccursunderstaticconditions,i.e.,thesourcepositionandtransmit-modecharacteristics(e.g.emittedpower,modulationscheme,etc.)ofthedevice(s)undertestdonotvarysignificantlyoverthetimerequiredtocarryouttheevaluationusingthechosenevaluationtechnique(e.g.,fieldmeasurements).Thevastmajorityofwirelesscommunicationsystemsworldwideemploysignallingschemesfeaturingnarrowbandwaveforms,hereinafterdefinedassignalwaveformsoccupyingafrequencybandnotbroaderthan10%ofitscentralfrequency(justificationofthisthresholdisprovidedbelow).Forinformation,AnnexApresentstheoperatingsystembandsandchannelbandwidthsofseveralcommonwirelessservices.Wide-bandcommunicationsystems,e.g.,ultra-wideband(UWB)systemsemployingimpulsivewaveformswithfractionalbandwidthwellinexcessof10%,arerelativelynewtothemarketplace,haveexperiencedlimiteddeploymentsofar,andarenottypicallyregardedassignificantcontributorstoEMexposurelevelsduetolowtransmitpowerlevels.
